This is an exciting opportunity for a pro-active self-starter, passionate about international development, research, monitoring & evaluation.
Khulisa is an expanding business with offices in Bethesda, Maryland and with an international footprint. The Intern will be afforded an opportunity to travel to Khulisa’ s South Africa office for a visit to Johannesburg. This is a paid Internship.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Only candidates, eligible to work in the US will be considered.
- Minimum relevant BA or master’s degree (preferred).
- Postgraduate in Monitoring and Evaluation training highly desired.
- Keen interest in research and M&E activities including business development.
- Strong analytical skills – qualitative and quantitative.
- Familiarity with donor-related policies & procedures (i.e., USAID, CDC, DOS, MCC, UN etc.) an advantage.
- Proficiency with the full suite of MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of statistics, sampling, and research design is an advantage.
- Pro-active self-starter, team player willing to take initiative and go the extra mile.
- Willing and able to travel.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
Main Duties
- Participate and assist in program evaluations, assessments, projects, and research activities.
- Assist with presentations.
- Collect, capture, and analyze data and prepare reports.
- Assist in proposal preparation including writing and co-ordination.
- Assist and develop tools for data collection – e.g., baseline evaluation, and other assessments/protocols.
- Contribute to data management.
- Provide administrative support to the US office.
