Khulisa was contracted by Pulse Health to provide M&E technical assistance for the EQUIP Haiti project led by Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Systems (MatCH).
EQUIP, a USAID-funded project, assisted the USAID mission in Haiti, the Haiti Ministry of Health (PNLS); and key implementing partners (IPs) for HIV-related programs through implementing partner MatCH [Maternal, Adolescent and Child Health], School of Public Health, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
Khulisa provided M&E technical support in the following areas:
- Assessing, identifying, documenting and monitoring weaknesses within the data management system at all PEPFAR/USAID funded clinics in Haiti.
- Generating strategies, solutions, recommendations and draft action plans to resolve identified issues or weaknesses within the clinic or hospital data management system.
- Implement solutions for good data management at all PEPFAR/USAID funded clinics and hospitals.
- Support clinic data management teams in keeping their tools and systems up to date and well organized to reduce factors that are threat to data quality.
- Support PEPFAR/USAID indicator monitoring and reporting where and when needed.
Khulisa also assisted PEPFAR/USAID-supported clinics/hospitals in data management, including but not limited to:
i. Backlog identification in registers (data capturing)
ii. Data cleaning and data validation
iii. Identification of data discrepancies in HTC and ART registers
iv. Comparing pharmacy data and active ART patients to monitor the cohort.
v. Following up of lost ART patients
