The United States Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) contracted Khulisa to evaluation PRM-funded Programs to support the Protection of Urban Refugee Youths (15-24 years old) in African cities. This evaluation has two case studies: Egypt and Uganda. Khulisa colleagues, Martha Muco and Jesse Webb, are currently collecting data with international and local partners of PRM in Cairo, Alexandria, and later in Kampala, Uganda.
Khulisa has currently conducted in Cairo 14 key informant interviews with two international organizations and three non-government organizations, while the process continues in Cairo and later in Alexandria. So far, the team has interviewed more than 15 youth refugees in person and has conducted more than 70 intercept interviews with them. The data collection continues until 25 March. The Khulisa team will travel to Uganda on 26 March for the second half of the data collection.
