We’re incredibly excited to use Causal Map, a new online research tool that helps evaluators to figure out what their stakeholders are saying about causation. The new app allows users to upload texts – such as emails, interviews, questionnaire answers, or other documents – and look for passages in those texts that suggest causal connections. Users can highlight and encode these potential links.

The app then displays the links as causal maps, ranging from small and simple to large and complex.

Causal mapping is a great solution for evaluators who have a large amount of data with many causal links and need help organizing and synthesizing those links.

Causal Map is free for small projects. Larger projects (with more than 50 links) require a subscription.

Happy mapping!
