Khulisa is very interested in the Blob Tree, an innovative evaluation method that could be used in various contexts, including when children are the primary beneficiaries or in cases of trauma when expressing emotions become difficult.
This report about evaluations in hard-to-reach places describes how the Blob Tree method was applied in a child protection evaluation funded by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations. Children aged 4 to 16 were asked about their perception of the funded schools and education activities, and to what extent it provided a safer environment for access to quality education.
Blobs are a variety of gender and race neutral characters that express feelings through the primary language we learn from infancy – body language. There are a series of different blobs available in the Blog Tree catalogue. Khulisa looks forward to using the Blob Tree in future evaluation and organizational development assignments.
