As discussed in this week’s blog EvalPartners turns ten years old this week.
EvalPartners, which defines itself as “a global partnership between Voluntary Organisations for Professional Evaluation [VOPEs], the United Nations and key partners”, embodies the importance of civil society in global evaluation. Over the past decade, EvalPartners has amplified the voices of evaluators around the world and helped solidify evaluation’s role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In honor of EvalPartners’ birthday, consider joining – or even starting – a civil society group or VOPE relevant to your sector of the evaluation field. The website for the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE) includes a great directory of VOPEs, tips for creating your own national or regional evaluation association, and other resources.
We also encourage you to join this week’s EvalPartners’ “Ten Years Together Twitter Dialogue”, taking place in Twitter throughout this week.
