Khulisa Inc is currently developing an evidence map under our Scaling Up Nutrition Learning and Evaluation (SUN LE) project in Zambia. As part of this work, we compiled resources and examples of evidence maps in the health and other sectors. Here is our list:
- The portal to a series Evidence Gap Maps (EGMs) by the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) on various topics, including on adolescent sexual and reproductive health; intimate partner violence prevention; social, behavioural and community engagement interventions for reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health; and water, sanitation and hygiene evidence
- An evidence map providing an overview of existing studies and gaps on the effects of performance measurement and management (PMM) systems interventions by 3ie
- A published brief about an evidence gap map by 3ie on performance measurement and management in primary healthcare systems in low- and middle-income countries
- Frontline AIDS’ evidence map exploring evidence by the organization and its partners on key HIV, health and human rights interventions (horizontal axis) and outcomes (vertical axis)
- An evidence map by Building Effective and Accessible Markets (BEAM) Exchange on market systems interventions
- Campbell Collaboration’s online library including systematic reviews, plain language summaries and methods series
- Accessible evidence summaries of education evidence on boosting the attainment of disadvantaged pupils by the Education Endowment Foundation
- The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA)’s best practice portal includes briefings, implementation inventories, an evidence database, and standards and guidelines for drug-related interventions
- Evidence Aid uses knowledge from systematic reviews to provide evidence on interventions that might be considered in the context of natural disasters and other major health care emergencies
- George Mason University’s Centre for Evidence-Based Crime Policy developed an evidence-based policing matrix
- International Rescue Committee’s – various maps including on cash transfers and humanitarian emergencies
- Sightsavers developed various evidence maps on eye health
- UNICEF Office of Research Innocenti – an evidence gap map on adolescent well-being in low- and middle-income countries
- An evidence map of mindfulness by the Quality Enhancement Research Initiative’s (QUERI) Evidence-based Synthesis Program (ESP)
