Photovoice is an innovative qualitative research method that empowers communities to use photography to tell their stories, identify local issues, and work toward solutions. The method involves having discussions around a specific theme and distributing cameras to community members, who then take pictures, create an exhibition, and engage in dialogue about the issues in the photographs with community leaders or other stakeholders.
We love this infographic from CGIAR, which lays out the process for conducting a photovoice project in 12 simple steps.
